R v Atkinson, Atkinson and Hanvey13th May 2013
The case was last before the Court on 16 April 2013. On that date the Public Prosecution Service confirmed that a decision of 'No Prosecution' had been taken in relation to two offences potentially committed by a prosecution witness. This followed an investigation by the PSNI and receipt of an investigation file by the PPS. One outstanding potential offence, which concerns conduct outside Northern Ireland, will be referred to the relevant investigating and prosecuting authority for further consideration. A further update will be provided to the Court at the next hearing on 21st May 2013.
